Network Operations engineer
We are seeking a seasoned Network Operations Engineer to provide operations and engineering support for the network origination to the Network Operations Center and Earth Station.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND TASKS:
- Monitor the status of network content management, play out and transmission equipment to insure that it is functioning correctly. Coordinate emergency and preventive maintenance with NOC and RF engineering.
- As requested by network origination clients, manage the authorization of affiliate satellite receivers and related databases. Insure that all network origination data is regularly archived and backed up.
- Setup, operate and manage resources for recurring and ad hoc satellite and fiber transmission and content acquisition. Complete all documentation related to these activities.
- Monitor the status of all core NOC and Earth Station equipment to insure its proper function, configuration and readiness. Coordinate emergency and preventive maintenance with NOC and RF engineering.
- Work with other NOC personnel to quickly and efficiently resolve technical and equipment configuration issues as they arise.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSA'S):
- Extensive working knowledge of electronic systems, signal theory and applied practices, including video, audio, digital and RF.
- Extensive working knowledge of digital computer systems, operating system software and standard application software
- Ability to troubleshoot systems to solve signal problems based on practical experience.
- Good organizational skills to coordinate multiple tasks and complicated work schedules.
- Good interpersonal skills to handle interface with clients and co-workers.
- Ability to handle high-pressure work with long hours and dynamic challenges.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs. And other physical task related to the job.
- Ability to reliably get to work and be punctual.
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, and travel as requested.
- Ability to work second and third shifts.
- Ability to obtain a SBE certification.
Master Control operator
We are seeking experienced Master Control Operators for our network operations team. This position will report to the Manager of Network Operations. We are looking to hire Master Control Operators for all shifts. Ability to speak Spanish is a plus! This position will be responsible for setting-up and operating equipment in the Master Control Center in order to provide reception, transmission, archiving and retrieval services of the highest quality possible, as well as, maintaining all transmission and ingest records and logs.
Experience and Certifications
The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in broadcast operations or a network operations environment; Society of Broadcast Engineers Certification preferred.
tELEVISION sALES aCCOUNT eXECUTIVE
We are seeking a seasoned National Sales Account Executive, with a proven track record in television production, to promote and sell our services to a national market. Experience in developing and implementing successful sales strategies for a production company is essential. Proven success at building and maintaining long-term relationships is required. NETWORK MONITORING SPECIALIST
JOB OBJECTIVE: Monitor and observe the signals of multiple networks originated by NorthStar Studios.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND TASKS:
- Verify continuously that the audio and video signals being broadcast are of consistently high quality and conform to NSS’s standards as set forth in the Network Operations SOP and the network program log.
- immediately notify the shift supervisor of any problems with the video and/or audio signal.
- Monitor networks server playout, transmit chain, and return signals.
- Make sure A/V alarm system is active at all times.
- Perform other work as required and as directed by the immediate supervisor or other appropriate authority.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSA'S):
- Excellent computer skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team structure
- High ability to be meticulous, accurate, neat and attentive to details.
- 5Ability to work as a team member.
- Ability to work varying shifts and extended hours beyond the normal workday.
- Ability to reliably get to work and be punctual.
- While not required, knowledge of electronics and broadcasting operations is desirable.

3. Be able to work at least 3 days a week
